v1.6.0 — New brand identity
New brand identity
Tidsro has its own mark now. A pine tree standing inside an hourglass — drawn straight from the name: tid (time) + ro (calm). It replaces the generic clock icon everywhere the app shows its face: the window title bar, the taskbar, the system tray, and the Windows installer.
Nothing about how Tidsro works has changed in this release — it's purely so the app looks like itself. Timers, the Schedule, and every setting behave exactly as they did in v1.5.0.
Install
Tidsro-Setup.exe— per-user installer (Start Menu shortcut + uninstaller).Tidsro.exe— portable; run as-is, no installation.
Both are self-contained 64-bit Windows builds — no .NET required. Windows SmartScreen may warn (the app isn't code-signed yet) — choose More info → Run anyway.

v1.5.0 — Crash logging & timer finish times
Crash logging & timer finish times
If Tidsro ever crashes, it now leaves a trail instead of vanishing. An unexpected error is caught, written to a crash log on your machine, and surfaced in a small notification that points you to the log folder. The log rotates so it can't grow without bound, and logging is hardened so it can never take the app down with it.
Running timers now show when they'll finish. Beside the remaining time, a running countdown shows the wall-clock time it ends — e.g. done 21:20 — so you can see when you're free at a glance. It's hidden while a timer is paused, since the finish time depends on when you resume. (contributed by Henry)

v1.4.0 — Per-alarm on/off toggle
Per-alarm on/off toggle
Each scheduled alarm now has an on/off switch. Turn an alarm off to keep it without it firing or warning — handy for silencing recurring alarms over a holiday — and switch it back on when you need it. Disabled alarms are kept across restarts and parked, muted, at the bottom of the Schedule.
Re-enabling a recurring alarm resumes it from its next future occurrence — it won't fire the moment you switch it back on.

v1.3.2
Changed
- Quick timers stack by time — running Quick timers now sort soonest-first, matching the Schedule, instead of the order they were added. Paused timers move below the active ones.
Plus an internal readability refactor of the startup and popup code (no behaviour change).
Install: download Tidsro-Setup.exe (per-user installer) or Tidsro.exe (portable) below. The app isn't code-signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen may say "Windows protected your PC" — click More info → Run anyway.
Tidsro v1.3.1
Fixed
- Piano jingle and Electric piano jingle played the same sound. The audio lookup matched the wrong embedded file, so both used the electric piano clip. Each sound now plays its own clip.
See the changelog for the full history.
Tidsro v1.3.0
Added
- Recurring alarms — repeat an alarm on a weekday set (Daily, Weekdays, Weekends, or custom days), shown in one Schedule sorted by next occurrence.
- 5-minute pre-alarm warning — an optional per-alarm heads-up before it fires, using the alarm's sound.
- More sounds — Piano jingle, Electric piano jingle, and Bell jingle (contributed by Henry), alongside the original chimes.
Changed
- Snooze keeps alarms in the Schedule — pressing +5 on an alarm re-arms it five minutes later in the Schedule; countdown timers still snooze as Quick timers.
- Refreshed Schedule editor — toggle switches, gold day-chips for custom days, aligned rows, and a gold highlight on the next Quick timer.
Install: download Tidsro-Setup.exe (per-user installer) or Tidsro.exe (portable). Windows SmartScreen may warn because the app isn't code-signed yet — click More info -> Run anyway. Both are self-contained; no .NET required.
Tidsro v1.2.0
Tidsro v1.2.0 — a design and interaction polish pass over v1.1. Countdown timers and clock-time alarms work as before; this release makes the whole app calmer and snappier.
What's new
Design
- Deeper dark palette with a warm gold accent, unified icons, and more spacious, consistent cards.
- Gentle motion (button feedback, card fades, a slide-up completion card) that honors your reduced-motion setting.
- Resizable window that remembers its size and position.
Interaction
- Responsive layout — timers and "Your day" stack on a narrow window and sit side by side when there's room.
- Dark, legible text fields; press Enter to start a timer or add an alarm.
- Instant cancel/restart, and an Undo bar that restores a cancelled timer or deleted alarm.
- Alarm times accept shorthand (
9,930,1430); editing an alarm opens a focused dialog.
Install
Download Tidsro-Setup.exe below and run it (installs just for you, no admin, adds a Start Menu shortcut). Prefer no install? Grab the portable Tidsro.exe and double-click.
Not code-signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen may say "Windows protected your PC" — click More info → Run anyway. Both builds are self-contained (no .NET needed) and keep your data locally in %AppData%\Tidsro.
Tidsro v1.1.0
What's new in v1.1.0
Clock-time alarms — the "Your day" agenda. Set one-shot "fire at HH:MM" alarms with an optional label and a per-alarm sound:
- Add an alarm for any 24-hour time; if the time has already passed today it rolls to tomorrow.
- Edit an alarm in place, or delete it with a brief Undo window.
- Firing survives sleep and app-relaunch within a 5-minute grace; an alarm missed beyond that shows a quiet "missed while away" note instead of going off late.
- When an alarm fires, the same calm bottom-right card appears — now with Snooze +5 and Dismiss.
- Readability fix: the sound dropdowns are now dark and legible.
Countdown timers from v1.0 are unchanged. Everything stays on your machine — no accounts, no network.
Install
- Installer: download
Tidsro-Setup.exe, run it, and click More info → Run anyway if SmartScreen warns (the app isn't code-signed yet). Installs just for you, with a Start Menu shortcut; uninstall any time from Settings → Apps. - Portable: download
Tidsro.exeand double-click — no installation. Same SmartScreen note.
Both builds are self-contained (no .NET required) and run on any 64-bit Windows PC.
Tidsro v1.0.0
Tidsro v1.0.0 — first release.
A calm, dark-mode-first desktop timer for Windows. v1.0 covers countdown timers with a system-tray presence, a quiet bottom-right completion popup, optional per-timer sound (silent by default), and a launch-at-startup toggle.
Downloads
- Tidsro.exe — portable, self-contained. No .NET install needed; download and run.
- Tidsro-Setup.exe — installer with a Start-menu shortcut and uninstaller.
The build is unsigned, so Windows SmartScreen may warn on first launch (click More info -> Run anyway).
