1.1.5
Pre-release📺 TV Assist 1.1.5
🎙️ New: voice control
Press a key on your remote and ask Home Assistant something out loud. A bar appears over
whatever you're watching, shows what it heard, and speaks the answer back.
It uses your Assist pipeline as you've set it up — your conversation agent answers and
your chosen voice reads the reply. Simple commands like "turn on the kitchen light" are
handled locally and answer straight away.
💬 Conversations remember context, so "turn it off" after "is the kitchen light on?" works.
If the assistant asks you a question back, the microphone reopens on its own.
🔌 Works with a USB microphone, or with the TV's own microphone on televisions that don't
let apps use the remote's mic (most Sony BRAVIAs).
⚠️ After upgrading: open Permissions on the Home screen and allow the microphone,
then set your voice key under Triggers & keys.
⌨️ New: type to Assist
Prefer not to talk? There's a card you can type into instead. Spoken and typed messages
share the same conversation.
🐛 Fixed: notifications with emoji or accented text never appeared
If a notification contained an emoji or a letter like é, the TV quietly threw it away —
the automation looked like it worked but nothing showed up.
