F1TV HUD Reworked v0.8.0

Automatic release created from package.json version update.

This release brings a new overlay, some notable Desktop Mode improvements, F2 2026 support and some extras here and there.

New overlay: Driver Name

Bringing this one back was easier than I expected. It's a simple overlay showing the active driver's name data, team logo and name, current position, and then one of the 5 selectable variants (Driver Number, Race Leader/Chasing Driver Ahead, Race Story, Personal Best Time). I think it turned out quite well!
There are some extra features added, like loading the number in Image form instead, or Automatic Hiding of the overlay.

Desktop Mode improvements

  • "Layout system" was added! For now, it only has one layout that you can save or load. On save, all active overlays save their positions and sizes. On layout load, the overlays load in the saved positions and sizes. More layout support is planned for a future release.
  • Added a button to open the Extended Controller on screen easily - no need to open it separately. Choose between loading it in Horizontal (Landscape) mode or in Vertical (Portrait) mode. You can still resize the window afterwards.

F2 2026 support

As I was finishing up with the Driver Name overlay, EA Codemasters, somewhat unannounced, dropped the Sports update, bringing F2 2026 cars and drivers to the game. Support for them (and the good versions of the logos) has been added, albeit not extensively tested, so bugs may happen (please let me know if there are any issues!)
UDP parser patch was updated with latest data. Additionally, Codemasters did bring some new Events support, so that was added as well (not used at the moment - will be added for the next release to the Message Box overlay).

Other fixes and improvements

  • Events packet Debug page and Participants packet Debug page were updated with the new data
  • Replaced the placeholder data in the Weather overlay with a simple "NO DATA" section instead (on first load)
  • Updated Madring Turn data, based on the official FIA Track Map (welcome, turns 5A and 20A!)
  • And a little bit of extra changes here and there that were not really notable...
