Doodle Rumble v0.7.7 — Workshop Photo Cleanup
Doodle Rumble v0.7.7 — Doodle Workshop photo cleanup
This update makes it easier to bring a real paper doodle into the Workshop and color a starter fighter the way you want.
What changed
- Warm-gray page removal: the photo cleanup control now reaches the gray-beige paper common in shadowed or compressed photos. The supplied yellow-marker drawing clears at the default setting while the marker strokes remain visible.
- Visible cleanup preview: the cleaned transparent image updates beside the original as you adjust the slider; the original remains visible for positioning page corners. Keep and Erase corrections apply in the order drawn.
- Separate border control: page cleanup and the White edge sticker outline are distinct. Keep and Erase brushes remain available for pale marks that need a manual touch-up.
- Clearer photo rigging: the importer keeps showing the full photo until all six body cutouts are traced and valid. Small slivers are rejected, and Save & Fight directs you to the next part to repair. Limb tracing remains guided/manual; there is no automatic pose recognition.
- Two drawing colors: Fighter recolors the starter body and Pen colors new strokes independently. Both are saved, undoable and compatible with older doodles.

Doodle Rumble v0.7.6 — Poster-to-gameplay polish
This release brings the current tested Godot project and matching Universal Mac build together.
What changed
- Custom fighters now reuse selection-screen art, bake in small pieces, and avoid duplicate animated HUD renderers. The M1 stress run stayed below 10 ms at p95 after warm-up; a brief first-frame spike remains.
- Three later story arenas now have different optional movement routes: Paper Canopy wind gusts, Arcade Afterglow bumpers, and Neon Switchyard data lifts. These add movement choices without changing damage or combat timing.
- Fighters are 15% larger on screen, the HUD uses a rougher ink treatment, and opening controls fade so the fight fills more of the frame.
- Doodle Rally was not changed in this update.

Verification
Godot 4.7.2 on Apple M1: 30 suites, 2,782 checks, zero failures. The v0.7.6 Universal app passed local signature verification and a 120-frame headless exported-PCK smoke boot.
The app is ad-hoc signed, not notarized, because no Developer ID certificate is available. macOS may require opening it from System Settings → Privacy & Security. Intel execution, transfer to another Mac, physical controllers, and external audio hardware were not tested.
Doodle Rumble v0.6.10 — Final Boss and Pac-Man Art Update
Doodle Rumble v0.6.10
Pac-Man's bite art had picked up a second eye in the runtime poses. This update gives him one clear eye from every angle and through every mapped action, while keeping the original supplied pack intact. The corrected transparent PNGs are kept as a separate runtime override set, and the importer and regression suite now know about them.
Dark lord now feels like the last fight in the story. His attack rotation expands from five patterns to eight: in addition to his reaper, quake, void-orb, rift and camera attacks, he can send a five-shard eclipse volley, a floor-wide wave you can jump and a vertical void pillar you must dodge sideways. Heavy attacks keep their warning phase before release. The boss also advances and follows players who stay on raised platforms.
The 40-second fixed-step attack-pressure probe now records Dark lord at 593 damage, H4CK3R at 357 and Pac-Man at 146. Dark lord's incoming damage multiplier is 1.5×. These are automated balance signals, not a replacement for playtesting with kids.
The exported app is a Universal Apple Silicon/Intel build made with Godot 4.7.2. It is locally ad-hoc signed, not notarized; see BUILD_STATUS.md for Mac distribution limits and TESTING_0_6_10.md for verification.
Doodle Rumble v0.6.9 — Mac release candidate
Doodle Rumble v0.6.9 — Mac release candidate
The drawings move more like fighters now. All six playable doodles have more expressive packed-art motion, their selection previews fit, and the illustrated action paintings remain visible behind the character cutouts. H4CK3R and Dark lord now reveal their large attack art at the actual release moment, making the windup easier to read. Purple no longer holds a baked arrow after firing.
Round results keep the camera steady: the winner celebrates again, and a defeated fighter falls into the arena with stars above their head. We checked every character from both result spawns. The 30-second story ending was rebuilt with the updated art. Gameplay hitboxes, damage timing, save formats, the six-stage journey and Doodle Rally remain intact.
Included: a Universal Apple Silicon/Intel Mac app, the complete Godot 4.7.2 source project with all nine original transparent production packs, screenshots, build notes, validation logs and SHA-256 receipts. See BUILD_STATUS.md and TESTING_0_6_9.md.
Mac install note: this machine has no Apple Developer ID certificate, so the app is locally ad-hoc signed and not notarized. A Mac receiving the ZIP may require System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway. Physical controllers, Intel execution and transferred first launch have not been verified here.
