Game Server Manager v1.0.0 - Stable Release
GameServer Manager v1.0.0 — Stable Release
Phase 6 (packaging + deployment hardening) is complete, marking GSM's
first stable release. This is the first time the full Start/Stop/Restart
lifecycle has been verified against a real installed instance on a
genuinely clean machine, rather than mocked cmdlets — a verification gap
deferred since Phase 2.
That verification run (Docs/CleanInstallVerification.md) surfaced four
real, previously-shipped bugs that no unit test could have caught, since
none of them launch a real steamcmd.exe/NSSM process or run a
multi-action session. All four are fixed in this release.
Fixed
- Interactive session crash: every module's own
Import-Module ... -Force
on sharedUtilities.psm1/Logging.psm1silently corrupted other
already-loaded modules' references to them after ~2 actions in one
session, crashing the whole process. Removed-Forcefrom all 53
affected import statements. - SteamCMD never installed itself:
Install-SteamCMDexisted but was
never actually called, so every first Install on a clean machine failed.
Each plugin now bootstraps SteamCMD automatically if it's missing. - SteamCMD argument order:
+force_install_dirmust precede+login,
not follow it — the reverse order failed every install with exit code 7. - Service account never provisioned:
New-GSMServiceAccountand
Set-GSMServiceAccountRightsexisted but were never called, so every
first Start failed. Also fixed NSSM'sObjectNamecall, which rejects a
bare local account name without the.\qualifier.
