Automatic Artifact Archival System

This release introduces automatic archival of workflow artifacts after /finalize completes, maintaining a clean workspace while preserving historical context.

Archival Infrastructure

  • Created directories: epics/completed/ and specs/completed/
  • Automatic archival during /finalize command (Step 12)
  • Pattern matches /run-prompt's prompts/completed/ system

Archive Mechanism

Epic workflows - Archived to epics/{slug}/completed/:

  • epic-spec.md
  • plan.md
  • sprint-plan.md
  • tasks.md
  • NOTES.md
  • research.md
  • walkthrough.md

Feature workflows - Archived to specs/{slug}/completed/:

  • spec.md
  • plan.md
  • tasks.md
  • NOTES.md

Preserved in root:

  • workflow-state.yaml (for metrics/history)
  • contracts/ directory
  • Build/deployment artifacts

🔧 Changes

  • finalize-workflow.sh: Added archive_artifacts() function as Step 12
  • /finalize command: Updated documentation with archival step, verification, and success criteria
  • CLAUDE.md: Added comprehensive "Artifact Archival (v9.3+)" section

🐛 Bug Fixes

  • spec-cli.py: Fixed cmd_epic() to not reference non-existent epic-manager script
    • Now provides helpful guidance to use /epic slash commands directly
    • Prevents errors when users run spec-cli commands
