What's new

A one-shot v2-line maintenance release that repairs three defects causing Fro Bot skill dispatches to silently do the wrong thing, plus a release-tooling fix that makes dry-run dispatches actually honor the dry-run flag.

Bug Fixes

Every agent reference is now dispatchable on the v2 line. This is a backport of the v3 fix for the dispatch failures reported in #784, for users who can't yet move to v3 because it removed bundled skills and agents they still depend on.

Three defects were fixed, each of which caused a dispatch to silently do the wrong thing instead of failing loudly:

  • Twenty-four agent references carried a ce- prefix that never matched any agent file, so every one of them failed to resolve. They're now written in the qualified form the integrity gate actually validates, so they resolve and can't rot again unnoticed.
  • The agent-native audit named a subagent_type of Explore, which isn't an agent this package ships. It now dispatches the bundled research analyst instead.
  • Several skills instructed the orchestrator to pass a model parameter to the task tool. That parameter doesn't exist in the tool's schema, so the dispatch silently fell back to a generic sub-agent with no configured model, which then inherited the session model — discarding per-agent and per-category model assignments without any error. Model policy is user-owned configuration, so the skills no longer try to set it.

This release adds no ongoing v2 support line: the release configuration change is scoped to this branch, publishes under a throwaway dist-tag that's removed afterward, and leaves the default install pointing at the current major.

Continuous Integration

The release workflow now honors the dry-run input when releasing from a manual dispatch, preventing dry-run invocations from accidentally publishing a real release.
