Features

Releases gain an approval-gated path: a release-app pull request carries the pending version and its CHANGELOG.md entry, previewed with semantic-release's existing version rules. In gated mode, publishing requires approval on the exact pull-request head from the maintainer or an attested scheduled gate. The approved changelog entry becomes the release notes, and a version mismatch stops publishing before a tag is created. (#1094)

The scheduled gate checks the release pull request against current main and all required checks before approving it. A release hold blocks gate-only publishing and is read live immediately before publication. Reconciliation refreshes the pending release, preserves approvals when its contents are unchanged, and handles superseded or already-published releases. RELEASING.md documents the cutover, holds, verification, and recovery procedures; a generated docs changelog shows entries through the deployed release tag.

Continuous Integration

Release-note rewriting runs in its own workflow, and documentation builds use the published release tag so the deployed docs correspond to that release. (#1092)

The release pipeline separates read-only preview and build jobs from credentialed publishing. Claude Code plugin publication moves to a dedicated post-release workflow that waits for the version to appear on npm. Repository rules require an approved pull request for changes to main and restrict release branches to the release app; Fro Bot approval is limited to maintainer-authored pull requests without Fro Bot commits. (#1094)
