v3.4.0
What's new
The agent-browser skill moves from a hand-vendored bundle to a generated stub kept in sync with its upstream npm package, plus routine dependency maintenance.
Features
- agent-browser: vendor upstream skill as auto-synced thin stub (#700)
The hand-vendored agent-browser skill bundle — a SKILL.md, 7 reference docs, and 3 templates maintained by hand in this repo — is replaced with a thin discovery stub generated deterministically from a pinned agent-browser npm devDependency (0.33.0). A new scripts/generate-agent-browser-skill.ts copies the stub from node_modules and keeps the ATTRIBUTIONS pinned-version references in sync, guarded by an agent-browser:drift CI gate alongside the existing registry/schema drift checks. Renovate's postUpgradeTasks regenerates the stub automatically on version bumps, so future upstream refreshes land in the same PR as the dependency bump instead of requiring a manual follow-up edit. An Apache-2.0 ATTRIBUTIONS entry for vercel-labs/agent-browser was added to reflect the new upstream dependency.
The change also adds 25 unit tests (tests/unit/generate-agent-browser-skill.test.ts) covering the frontmatter hidden-strip, ATTRIBUTIONS version sync, pinned-version read, and compare-normalization helpers, matching the test conventions of the sibling generator scripts. The generator entrypoint is now guarded with if (import.meta.main) so importing the script — as its own unit test does — no longer triggers generate-mode side effects that would silently rewrite skills/agent-browser/SKILL.md and ATTRIBUTIONS.md and mask real drift instead of detecting it.
