How to run this project

1. Clone the repo
2. Create and activate a virtual environment

python -m venv venv
source venv/bin/activate   # On Windows: venv\Scripts\activate

3. Install dependencies

pip install -r requirements.txt

Receipt Parsing Data Schema

The Azure Document Intelligence API is used to parse receipt text.

Within "analyzeResult", we are only interested in "documents". Depending on the "docType" ("receipt", "receipt.retailMeal", "receipt.creditCard", "receipt.gas", "receipt.hotel"), there will be different schemas.

We want to extract the following fields:

If a Quantity exists for an Item, extract the Quantity n and create n Item elements with individual Price of each item unit.
