• Interactive segmentation: each click selects only the object under the cursor, so touching leaves on the same photo (e.g. a petri dish) are no longer merged into one mask.
• Interactive segmentation: Leaf / Scale tool buttons next to Clear selections choose what the next click marks, instead of relying on click order.
• Multi-leaf photos: leaves already marked are sent to MobileSAM as background points, and the blue scale circle is applied to every leaf of the photo.
• Hybrid damage-region selection uses the same single-object MobileSAM mode.

Packaging

• Windows Herbivora-Setup-vX.Y.Z.exe and a Linux source tarball (Herbivora-vX.Y.Z-source-linux.tar.gz) are now built by GitHub Actions and attached to every Release, together with the macOS DMG and SHA256SUMS.
• install.sh, herbivora.sh, and Install_Herbivora.command are executable after extracting the source.
• Maintainers publish with packaging/release.ps1.

Herbivora v1.4.3

• Project tab button Use sample images: sets Input and Output to the bundled test_imgs photos so a new user can try Herbivora without choosing their own folder.
• Seven sample leaf JPEGs ship with the source tree and installers. The button restores them if they were deleted.

Packaging

• Windows Setup, PyInstaller, and the macOS app include only the original JPEGs (not pipeline leftovers under test_imgs/segmentation/).

• Entire / smooth contour specialist (best_unet_shape_smooth.pth) is fine-tuned for large C-shaped margin bites and small edge nicks.
• The same file is updated on Hugging Face. Existing installs can refresh with python download_models.py --force.
• Contour post-process for Entire now fills open margin gaps (depth-gated hull fill) so small nicks are kept without filling the petiole or apex.

Models

Weights stay under models/best_unet_shape_smooth.pth. Other morphology specialists and the damage U-Net are unchanged.
