XTicker 1.3.1

This hotfix repairs Sparkle startup. Version 1.3 enabled signed update feeds without the required pre-extraction verification setting, which caused an “Unable to Check For Updates” alert when the app launched. Both protections are now enabled.

Also included:

  • The Mac OS 9 Control Strip now clips scrolling text inside its recessed display, keeping it clear of the end controls and screen edges.
  • Menu Bar Only mode hides the ticker, Studio, and Dock icon while retaining the menu bar controls. Open Settings or show the ticker from the menu bar icon to return.

Requires macOS 14 or later. If you installed 1.3, download this DMG and drag XTicker to Applications. The broken 1.3 updater cannot install this fix automatically; later updates can run in-app.
