What's included

  • Universal Apple Silicon and Intel native code; no Node.js or web server needed for the native add-in.
  • A machine-independent installation path and a real PowerPoint-exported PPAM.
  • FE ribbon icon and optional right-edge palette attachment.
  • MIT-licensed source, a browser playground, automated tests, and build instructions.

Prerelease status

Unsigned and unnotarized. macOS may block this installer. Review the source and follow the installation guide to decide whether to approve this individual package; do not disable macOS or PowerPoint security globally.

Requires desktop PowerPoint for Mac with VBA and macOS 12+ (or the newer minimum required by your Office version). The earlier engine passed 44 host assertions twice on Apple Silicon PowerPoint 16.113.2. This release passed 38 JavaScript tests, 14 packaging/source-release tests, 59 attachment-layout cases, and GitHub's Linux/macOS CI. Installer extraction, file hashes, compiled library path, and the universal bundle's ad-hoc signature were checked.

Still needs live validation: installation into the shared destination on a clean Mac/account, Intel execution, and the new attachment mode inside PowerPoint. No fresh-machine installation or Apple notarization is claimed. Start with a copy of a presentation and report your environment with any issue.

The .sha256 files verify their matching downloads using shasum -a 256 -c FILE.sha256. Checksums detect corruption; they do not replace a trusted publisher signature. The source ZIP supports both native development and the dependency-free browser playground.

Source update — September 28, 2026

The public source history and source ZIP were replaced with the reviewed distribution export. Development research is maintained separately. The source ZIP and its checksum have changed; the native installer and its checksum are unchanged.
