• New maintainer-only /release skill (.claude/skills/release) that cuts a full release from a single invocation — analyzes merged PRs since the last tag, decides the next version, auto-generates CHANGELOG.md entries in the project's format, bumps the compose.yaml version, fast-forwards master, tags, and publishes the GitHub Release. Lives at repo-root .claude/ so it is excluded from Magento installs (the installer sparse-checks out only compose/). PR #1445

• Pin GA-safe MariaDB versions in the version auto-detect matrix (compose/lib/versions.tsv) so clean installs of Magento 2.4.7/2.4.8 boot a supported database. Two rows pinned mariadb:11.8, which GA/early-patch releases reject — a fresh bin/download community 2.4.8 resolves to GA and failed at setup:install with "Current version of RDBMS is not supported." The 2.4.8 line is now pinned to mariadb:11.4 and 2.4.7 to mariadb:10.6 (each valid for its whole line, including GA); 2.4.9 stays on mariadb:11.8. PR #1444, #1404
• Make bin/log compatible with Bash 3.2 on stock macOS. It relied on the mapfile builtin (Bash 4+) and failed with mapfile: command not found; it now uses portable constructs. This also fixes a latent bug where passing multiple log files (bin/log system.log cache.log) collapsed them into a single tail argument. PR #1442, #1440
