Contour Lines Support

• Optional topographic contour lines can be displayed on the map by placing a contours.mbtiles file next to planet.mbtiles
• Two resolutions available for download: GLO-90 (90m, zoom 11–13) and a mixed GLO-90/GLO-30 file (90m zoom 11–13, 30m at zoom 14)
• Contour lines are rendered with zoom-dependent line width; 50m index lines are drawn thicker than 10m lines
• Elevation labels appear on 50m contour lines starting at zoom 12
• A toggle switch in the toolbar shows/hides contours at runtime; the toggle is only visible if contours.mbtiles is present
• Contour visibility is preserved when switching map styles

New API Endpoint: GET /v1/capabilities

• Returns a JSON object indicating which optional features are available (e.g. { "contours": true })
• Used by the frontend to conditionally show UI controls

GPX Track Loading

• Load GPX files directly in the browser via the toolbar; the track is rendered as a red line with white casing
• Tracks are preserved when switching map styles
• A clear button removes the loaded track

Marker on URL Coordinates

• When opening the map with ?lat=&lng= URL parameters, a marker is now placed at that location (Photon variant)

Zoom Level Badge

• A circular badge in the toolbar shows the current zoom level, updated live while zooming

Map Style Switcher

• A dropdown in the toolbar allows switching between 8 bundled map styles at runtime

MapLibre GL upgraded from 2.1.9 to 5.19.0

• Vendored JS and CSS assets replaced; all style and static routes updated accordingly

UI redesigned: collapsible toolbar replaces old search box layout

• The centered top search box (#searchbox) has been replaced by a left-anchored collapsible panel (#panel / #toolbar) with a toggle button
• All controls (search, GPX, style switcher, contour toggle, zoom badge) are consolidated into a single toolbar row
• Toolbar can be hidden/shown with an animated slide

Default style changed from osm-liberty to osm-bright-gl-style
