This release expands Mokapi's JavaScript API with new TypeScript definitions for Kafka and MQTT. It also improves JavaScript runtime diagnostics and event logging stability.
New TypeScript API
Kafka JavaScript API
- Added new TypeScript definitions for registering Kafka event handlers
- Added TypeScript definitions for functions that produce Kafka messages
- Improved the developer experience when working with Kafka events and message production in JavaScript
MQTT JavaScript API
- Added a new TypeScript API for MQTT
- MQTT event handlers and functionality can now be developed with improved TypeScript support
JavaScript Runtime Improvements
Better Error Diagnostics
- Added debug-level stack traces for recovered JavaScript panics
- Improved diagnostics across JavaScript panic recovery paths, making runtime failures easier to investigate
Improved Event Logging Stability
- Synchronized access to the JavaScript event logger
- Prevented event handlers from clearing the event logger while a log callback is still running
