I saw buttons: delete all messages, delete last message.

Question: Does Ford provide a way to delete a message by its id? If so, would it be possible to provide it as a service/action?

To delete a message (or multiple messages) you must provide indeed a list of message ids...

and "yes" it would be possible to provide a service where the user must provide a message id- but I have to admit, that I don't see the need that a HA integration will copy 1:1 the functionality of the origin app...

If this feature would be requested by multiple users I would consider to add this.

there is IMHO a push button service/action that can be used in automations...

I understand that you are balancing your resources. It's fair.
Let me comment on your response below and provide more detailed reasoning.

I don't see the need for an HA integration will copy 1:1 the functionality of the origin app

1. Integration provides a list of messages. Why does that happen, if at the same time you don't want to copy the Ford App functionality?
2. Since messages are available and one would like to read them from HA, control over them seems to be a natural need. I believe nobody wants to read messages in HA while removing them in the Ford App
3. Messages might be warnings. For example, about low tire pressure (as seen below). Then they fit HA
4. I implemented them into the custom:vehicle-status-card, the way shown below. BTW, those are real messages; it's not a mock-up (except of dismiss buttons)

I understand your personal use case - you might also like to send the messages to a LLM in order to distinguish between critical and non critical messages...

My solution for a workaround: Copy the content of all (or just filtered) messages to another place (in an automation) and then flush all messages.

Again I see the point, that in your use case a "delete message by id" service would be 'cool thing to have'...

Yeah sure.

I achieved that using flex-table custom card.
I can imagine it could be done with auto-entities and custom:button-card too. Possibly, there are more ways.

To make the button the only active control (instead of the whole row/cell), I disabled the pointer events on the row and activated them for the button only.

and you can extract the message id from the json_src attribute of the sensor.fordpass_wf0fxxwpcfla25086_messages sensor per "button" - since that will be need for sure to feed the service/action
