EV's extended Features v4

An additional Patch (v2025.12.8)

Looks like that Ford backend developers have a special kind of humor. In one of the responses (preferred-charge-times) the returned object can contain a list of locations. This locations have an attribute called id, but surprise, different locations in this list can share the same id values. This makes this id-value useless (and so in this new build the code will ignore this id and create a own unique identifier).

BUGFIX for EV Last Charging Session update listener

looks like, that my initial implemented "unplug" EV Charger listener (2025.12.6) did not work at all - actually looks like I made a fatal misjudgment when interpreting the deviceConnectivity with charger being connected. Well to make a long story short - now the EV Last Charging Session Sensor will be updated once the sensor.fordpass_[vin-here]_elvehplug will switch to DISCONNECTED (still after a delay of 2.5minutes).

New Remote Climate Control / Remote Start function

As discussed in #140 it can make sense, to extend the duration of a Remote Climate Start. Of course I am happy to support this use case, even if I hope the temperatures will not drop below -30°C here.

With the new version there is:

  • A new button (only active when RemoteStart is running), to extend the duration of the current start. E.g. by default for my Mach-E the duration for a remote start is 15 minutes. When I make use of the new button, this duration could be extended to +27 minutes. Please note, that you can press the button multiple times, but this will have no further effect on the runtime. If it's extended once, you can't extend it for even longer. You must move your vehicle before you can use the remote start again.

  • A new Sensor showing the remaining runtime of the RemoteStart. Well this makes a lot of sense, when you can extend the duration of the remote start, then you should be able to see somewhere, how long this will run.

General remark

Please note, that the new entities and the additional attributes will be only available, if the Ford backend will provide appropriate data - so if you don't see any new data after the update, this is cause your vehicle/model does not provide this data.

Please consider support me

Thanks to those who have already supported me in the past weeks or month that was highly appreciated! To the other users: I am putting a great amount of energy and passion into this integration. Perhaps you could give yourself a small push (if you can afford it).
