Real-time system monitor styled like a racing tachometer.
A lightweight, always-on-top desktop gauge that tracks ConPTY allocations, memory usage, processes, and handles — collapsed into a single composite needle with peak-hold (telltale) marks at 1-minute, 10-minute, 1-hour, and all-time windows. Built for developers running multiple concurrent AI coding sessions who need real-time visibility into invisible resource pressure.
Pre-release. Version 0.0.0 currently reserves the name on PyPI. The first real release ships during the AssemblyZero speedrun launch — built from zero to PyPI in one continuous recording.
Until v0.1.0 lands:
pip install boostgauge # installs the v0.0.0 placeholder

This wiki expands as features ship. Planned pages:
- Architecture — how the collector, renderer, and telltale layers compose.
- Configuration — the JSON config file and tunable thresholds.
- Skins — the pluggable visual identity system (v1 ships the Stingray skin).
- Platforms — Windows-specific metrics (ConPTY), with notes on Linux/macOS portability.
For now, the canonical references are in the repo:
-
docs/design/— design docs and visual specs. -
docs/speedrun/— the route for the on-camera build.
