ZeroContact 3.0.0 moves the app to the permanent Android identity io.massdex.zerocontact and a new product-specific signing certificate.

This is a breaking install identity:

  • Install this APK manually beside version 2.
  • Do not uninstall version 2 until chats, WhatsApp Business launch, QR/link sharing, and any local history you need are verified.
  • Version 3 includes one-time and Settings-based guidance for copying selected legacy history entries safely.
  • Future in-app updates continue only inside io.massdex.zerocontact with the version 3 signer.
  • Historical v2.x releases remain intact and recoverable.

The APK is non-debuggable and was locally verified for package/version identity, exact size and SHA-256, signing certificate, updater trust, migration policy, lint, unit tests, and release assembly. No hosted GitHub Actions were used.

ZeroContact 2.4.2

Migrates ZeroContact's fail-closed updater trust from the former GitHub account name to massdex after the authorized account rename.

Important: v2.4.1 rejects the renamed release URLs, so install v2.4.2 manually once. Future in-app updates then use the corrected massdex feed.

Verified locally with 20 unit tests, lintDebug/lintRelease, debug and stable-signed release builds, package/version/signing checks, and exact APK/manifest SHA-256 validation. No hosted Actions were used.

Fixes visual glitches during rapid tab taps and swipes by cancelling and normalising interrupted page animations. The in-app toolbar now uses the exact approved launcher artwork rather than a separately drawn approximation.
