4.1.3: Changing mastodon character limits no longer works

Hi there,
we had long used the opportunity to change the upper limit of 500 characters. https://seantodd.co.uk/snippets/changing-mastodon-character-limit/ However, since version 4.1.3 this no longer works, at least for the web. Strangely, however, mobile apps are apparently not affected, e.g. ice cubes (IOS).

Before I report this as a bug, I wanted to ask you if you have noticed something similar or maybe have a suggestion how to solve the problem.

Just noticed that 4.1.4 has already been released. After updating to it, the extension of the number of characters also works.

I'll leave the question anyway, in case someone else stumbles across the problem.
