NITRATE: The Mill v1.0.1

@matbcontrol matbcontrol released this 08 Oct 17:47

Windows build of the scene (Unity 6000.6.4f1, URP 17.6, D3D11). Unzip and run Nitrate.exe; fullscreen gives the smoothest playback on laptops with two GPUs.

Changes since v1.0: the batch-file launcher is gone, because antivirus heuristics flagged it. The benchmark now starts with F9 inside the player. The zip contains no scripts.

The build is not code-signed, so Windows may warn about it. Nitrate.exe is Unity's own player launcher (WindowsPlayer.exe). UnityPlayer.dll and the other runtime files are signed by Unity Technologies, Microsoft or .NET. You can also build the same player from this repository.

Measured (GPU time per frame, median of 3 passes over the 15 s loop):

  • GTX 1650 Ti laptop, 1080p High: 2.46 ms
  • Intel UHD (i5-10300H), 720p Low: 11.0 ms

Run the benchmark yourself: press F9 in the player (about 13 minutes); it writes a CSV next to the exe. Nitrate.exe -benchmark -force-device-index 1 from a terminal picks the second GPU of a laptop. Keys and options are in README.txt inside the zip.
