@mathimus-design mathimus-design released this 18 Oct 19:36

Play Dungeon Keeper in VR: the dungeon becomes a tabletop in front of you, your hand is the Keeper's hand, and you can possess creatures and walk around at life size.

Unofficial fan-made test build, not a KeeperFX release. Please report problems in Issues.

New in test build 9

  • Fixed: creature counts on the palm menu flickering or wrong (for example jumping between 11 and 22). Some of the game's small images (digits, icons) were mixed up with their neighbours; each now has its own slot.

Test build 8 added zoom on the right stick and the left X button (left A on Index) to go to the latest fight.

Quick start

You need a Windows PC, a PC VR headset, and your own copy of Dungeon Keeper.

  1. Install KeeperFX from keeperfx.net and check it starts.
  2. Update it to the latest alpha patch (keeperfx.net → Downloads → Alpha): unzip it into your KeeperFX folder and replace files.
  3. Download KeeperFX-VR-….zip below and unzip it into the same KeeperFX folder (over an older test build is fine).
  4. Get your headset ready: connect Virtual Desktop or Quest Link, or start SteamVR.
  5. Double-click KeeperFX VR.exe in your KeeperFX folder, then press Play in VR.

First time only: if Windows says "Windows protected your PC", click More info → Run anyway (this test build is not signed).

Controls and troubleshooting are in README-VR.txt inside the zip.

Works with

  • Virtual Desktop (Quest): tested
  • SteamVR (Valve Index and other SteamVR headsets): tested
  • Meta Quest Link / Air Link: should work, not tested yet
