Project 212: Introduction & Fleet Scaling Setup - Warehouse Robotics Simulation #167

Hi @robertogl, I see this was closed as resolved, but I haven't received a response to my actual question yet. I am a final-year ECE student working on this project independently, without any support or funding. I am genuinely passionate about completing Project #212 and developing my skills in robotics simulation — but I am facing a hard technical blocker. MATLAB R2026a (my current trial) requires Unreal Engine 5.4, and the MathWorksSimulation plugin fails to load due to binary symbol errors — a toolchain issue on the plugin side, not user error. The stable combination is R2024b + UE 5.3, but I am unable to access R2024b independently. Could you or the MathWorks team please advise whether challenge participants — especially students with limited resources — can request access to R2024b to complete their project? I have also emailed capstones@mathworks.com but have not yet received a reply. I truly want to complete this project and submit a quality solution. Any guidance would be deeply appreciated. — Sugavanam M, Project #212 |

Hi everyone,
I am Sugavanam M, an ECE undergraduate student from Mahendra Institute of Technology, India. I am deeply interested in robotics, embedded systems, and autonomous navigation.
I have officially registered for Project 212: Warehouse Robotics Simulation and will be working independently to scale single-agent AMR concepts to robust multi-robot fleets using MATLAB. Having previously worked on a team project for a single-agent factory AMR ("MechMover 2.0"), I am excited to independently tackle multi-robot coordination, warehouse task scheduling, and fleet collision avoidance through this elite challenge.
I am looking forward to utilizing the Robotics System Toolbox and Navigation Toolbox to mathematically validate my deployment logic. I will be sharing my solution repository soon and would love to connect or discuss ideas with the community!
Best regards,
Sugavanam M
