V2.4.3
Improved
- Saving an alarm or a reminder now takes you back to that entry in the list, instead of dropping you wherever you happened to be scrolled before you opened the editor. A newly created entry is on screen when you land, and an edited one is too.
- This matters most in long lists: alarms are ordered by time of day and reminders by when they are due, so a new entry slots into the middle of the list rather than appearing at the top — previously it was easy to save something and not see where it went.
Note
- Nothing changed about how the lists are sorted, and nothing changed for timers.
- Backing out of an editor without saving leaves the list where it was, as before.
- No database changes; alarms, timers, reminders and settings are untouched.
V2.4.2
Changed
- The bedtime reminder no longer says how much sleep you would get. It was a snapshot taken the moment the notification appeared, so it never counted down — three hours later it still claimed the same figure — and on a normal reminder it only repeated the hours you had already set yourself. The notification now simply tells you when the alarm is.
- With a custom bedtime message, the reminder reads "Alarm at 07:00" with your message below it. Without one, it reads "Bedtime" with "Alarm at 07:00" below.
Note
- Nothing changed about when the bedtime reminder appears — the reminder hours, the short-notice reminder for an alarm closer than your setting, and everything else fire exactly as in V2.4.1.
- No database changes; alarms, timers, reminders and settings are untouched.
V2.4.1
Fixed
- With a custom bedtime message set, the alarm time and how much sleep you would get were squeezed into the notification's top header line next to the app name and clock, where Android cut them off — the sleep figure was effectively invisible on the phone. The reminder now gives them a full line of their own, so the message, the alarm time and the sleep amount are all readable without expanding the notification.
- A long bedtime message no longer stops at one clipped line — pull the notification down and it expands in full.
Note
- No changes to when the bedtime reminder fires, or to the times it quotes — this release only changes how the notification is laid out. If you have never set a custom bedtime message, it looks exactly as it did in V2.4.
- No database changes; alarms, timers, reminders and settings are untouched.
V2.4
Improved
- The bedtime reminder now stays quiet unless the alarm is at least two hours away, up from one. An alarm series with long gaps between its members could otherwise announce itself between rings — truthful, but not something you want at 08:30.
Note
- This does not affect the reminder arriving at its normal time. If your bedtime reminder is set to one or two hours before the alarm, it still appears exactly when it always did; the two-hour limit only applies to the short-notice reminder added in V2.3.9.
- No database or settings changes. Alarms, series, timers, reminders and all your settings carry over untouched.
V2.3.9
Fixed
- The bedtime reminder appeared only once and then went quiet. It had no way to schedule itself for the following night, so after the first reminder it stayed silent until something else — an alarm edit, a restore, or a reboot — happened to wake it up. On a repeating alarm or series that meant exactly one reminder, ever. It now re-arms every time an alarm rings, so it comes back every night before an alarm day.
Improved
- The bedtime reminder now also appears when the alarm is closer than your configured window. Setting a 06:00 alarm at 23:00 with a 9-hour reminder used to show nothing at all; it now tells you there are 7 hours left.
- The reminder states the time you actually have rather than the number in Settings, down to the minute — "bed now for 6 h 40 min of sleep". The two only differ when the alarm is nearer than your window, which is exactly when the old wording would have been wrong.
- If you use a custom bedtime message, the alarm time and the remaining sleep now both show beneath it, so a custom wording no longer costs you the numbers.
Note
- No reminder appears when the alarm is less than an hour away. This keeps an alarm series quiet — without it, every member of a 5-minute series would announce "bed now for 5 min of sleep" as it rang.
- No database or settings changes. Alarms, series, timers, reminders and all your settings carry over untouched; your bedtime hours value is read exactly as before.
V2.3.8
Improved
- Lists bounce again when you reach the top or bottom of a tab, restoring the standard Android scroll feel that was switched off in V2.2.
Note
- Reaching the very end of a list and immediately swiping back the other way takes a moment to catch, because the bounce has to settle first. This is how Android's scrolling normally behaves and is the trade-off that comes with having the bounce back.
- No changes to alarms, timers, reminders, scheduling or your saved data. This release is purely visual.
V2.3.7
Fixed
- "Mark this one done, keep repeating" did nothing on a reminder that hadn't gone off yet: a daily reminder due in two hours stayed due in two hours instead of moving to tomorrow, and the confirmation dialog named today's occurrence as the one it would come back on. It now moves to the next occurrence properly, and the dialog names the right date before you confirm.
- The same bug affected checking a repeating reminder off before it had fired in earlier versions, so anyone who did that saw the reminder quietly stay where it was.
Note
- Notification buttons are unchanged: Done on a notification still handles just that occurrence and moves a repeating reminder forward exactly once, as it always has.
- No database changes; nothing saved is affected.
V2.3.6
Added
- Checking off a reminder now marks it complete: it moves down to the faded reminders at the bottom of the list, where you can edit it to bring it back or delete it for good. Previously a repeating reminder just rolled forward to its next occurrence and stayed in the list, so there was no way to finish one off short of deleting it.
- Repeating reminders got a "Mark this one done, keep repeating" button inside the reminder, which does what the checkmark used to do — the current occurrence counts as handled and the reminder comes back at the next one. It tells you when that is before you confirm.
Changed
- The list checkmark asks for confirmation before completing, since completing a repeating reminder ends the repeat and there's no undo button. This is a behaviour change on a control you may have muscle memory for: the checkmark used to mean "done for today" and now means "done for good". It applies to every reminder in the list, repeating or not.
- Reminder notifications are unchanged: Done and Snooze on the notification behave exactly as before, with no confirmation step. Skipping a single occurrence of a repeating reminder is only offered inside the app.
Note
- No database changes; existing reminders, alarms, series and timers are untouched. Everything else since the last release is documentation and CI only.
V2.3.5
Added
- Settings › Running timer notification: a switch that brings the countdown notification straight back if you swipe it away, so it can only be cleared with its own Stop button. It still leaves on its own when the timer rings.
Improved
- Restoring a backup now also re-posts any running timer's countdown notification, so a restored setting takes effect immediately instead of waiting for the timer to be adjusted.
Note
- Like the upcoming-alarm protection added in V2.3.4, this arrives switched ON — turn it off in Settings if you'd rather swipe the countdown away. It only makes a difference on Android 14 and newer; older versions already blocked that swipe.
- Swiping a notification away has never removed an alarm or a timer, with or without this protection: the countdown keeps running and the alarm still rings, you just lose the notification and its buttons until it comes back.
- No database changes: alarms, reminders, timers and history are untouched. Backup files gain one new settings value, and backups from earlier versions restore as before.
V2.3.4
Added
- Settings › Upcoming alarm notification: a switch that brings the notification straight back if you swipe it away, so it can only be cleared with its own "Dismiss next alarm" button. It covers single alarms and series alike, and still leaves on its own once the alarm rings.
- Settings › Reminders now sets what a new reminder starts with: whether it reminds you again if you don't press Done and how often, and whether a swiped-away notification comes back and after how long.
Changed
- A reminder's single "Keep reminding until done" switch is now two independent switches, "Remind me again" and "Bring it back", so either can be on or off without touching the other.
- Each switch owns its own off state, so the "Off" entries have been removed from the dropdowns beneath them — off is now in one place per setting instead of two.
- The wording around both reminder settings has been rewritten in the reminder editor and in Settings, and Settings now shows the same two controls as the editor instead of a differently-worded text box.
- Settings' "After (minutes)" box is now the same preset dropdown the editor uses: a value you had typed that isn't one of the presets is kept and shown, but new choices come from the list.
- Existing reminders carry over as they are — each one's combination reads back as the matching pair of switch positions, and none of them change how they behave until you next save them.
Improved
- Turning both reminder switches off now gives a plain one-and-done reminder, which alerts once and counts as done when swiped away, instead of leaving a reminder that has already fired sitting in the list with nothing able to bring it back.
- A reminder set to remind you again but not to survive a swipe can now actually be swiped away on Android 13 and older, where it previously stayed stuck in the notification shade.
- A reminder that followed the app default while that default was switched off could alert once and then never again; opening and saving it now settles it into the one-and-done behaviour it was already effectively showing.
- Restoring a backup now also refreshes the upcoming-alarm notification, which restore had never touched — so a restored setting takes effect immediately instead of waiting for the next alarm edit.
Note
- The new upcoming-alarm swipe protection arrives switched ON, so the notification will start coming back if you swipe it — turn it off in Settings if you'd rather it didn't. It only makes a difference on Android 14 and newer; older versions already blocked that swipe.
- No database changes: alarms, reminders, timers and history are untouched. Backup files gain three new settings values, and backups from earlier versions restore exactly as before.
