MatrixOne version: v4.2.6
MatrixOne 4.2.6 updates the 4.2 release line with broader vector-search SQL support, lower median aggregation memory overhead, and fixes for backup/restore, SQL and index correctness, full-text parsing, and logtail subscriptions.
Upgrade Notes
- DECIMAL256 Indexes: Existing indexes affected by legacy DECIMAL256 writes require rebuilding from their base tables in a maintenance window before user reads and writes resume. Review the upgrade procedure before upgrading; affected deployments must not mix old and new writers.
Key Improvements
Vector Search and Memory Efficiency
- More Query Shapes: Support IVF-FLAT Top-K through eligible equi-joins and scalar-subquery query vectors with IVF-FLAT and HNSW.
- Median Aggregation: Reduce intermediate-state memory amplification.
Key Bug Fixes
Correctness and Reliability
- Backup and Restore: Preserve historical objects across repeated backups and make account restores repeatable with grants rebound correctly.
- SQL and Indexes: Improve composite-key range pruning and DECIMAL256 index correctness, repair ON DUPLICATE KEY UPDATE metadata ownership, and preserve stored BINARY bytes during SQL replay.
- Logtail: Preserve in-flight subscriptions.
- Full-Text Search: Handle a single double-quote safely in Boolean-mode queries.
