First public release. Install by uploading mm-seo-builder.zip under Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, then paste your own Gemini API key under SEO Builder → Settings.

What changed from 1.x

  • Works again. Every Gemini model 1.x hardcoded had been retired, so text generation failed on every request. Defaults are now gemini-3.8-flash for text and gemini-3-pro-image / gemini-3.1-flash-image for images, with optional model overrides in Settings.
  • Model fallback fixed. One retired model used to stop the whole chain. Now only an invalid key stops it.
  • No license gate. Every feature is available once a Gemini key is saved.
  • Yoast checks enforced in PHP. Meta descriptions are trimmed to 155 characters, missing outbound or internal links are added, and titles are capped at 60 characters. A live draft scored SEO 95 and readability 90 in Yoast.
  • Longer, cleaner output. 900 to 1300 words with an FAQ section, and normal capitalisation instead of lowercase keyphrases.
  • Safer. Model HTML is filtered with wp_kses_post, and the API key is sent in a header instead of the URL.
  • Fixes. Drafts now appear in Recent Activity and History, the daily counter is real, the day boundary uses site time, generated JPEGs are saved as .jpg, and deactivating clears WP-Cron jobs.

Each site pays for its own Gemini usage: one text request and one image request per keyword.
