The plan for this first release will focus on creating the basic set of features needed to use this day to day in my retail store. These include:
- Ability to add a new item to the system
- Ability to restock an existing item
- Create a few basic reports on inventory levels
- Design a database structure to allow historical tracking of inventory levels, costs, and sales rates
- Design a cash register with the following functions
- Build sales slip for printing
- Track cash, credit, and check payments and tie to cash register balance
- Integrate with standard cash register and thermal paper printer
- Log sales for reporting and trending with inventory for future use
