Root-cause clarification
The locally invoked executable during investigation was stale: v0.1.3 at a473125, which predates fix 750f89c. The published v0.1.4 release at f060558 already included 750f89c; its downloaded asset matched the published checksum and its release workflow succeeded. The published v0.1.4 asset was not defective.
