Rizplay Alpha build 0.1.0
Rizplay Alpha build 0.1.0
The first public test build of Rizplay, an independent Windows application for
the confirmed Turing/TURZX 3.5-inch USB display (VID_1A86&PID_5722,
USB35INCHIPSV2).
Highlights:
- Four configurable applets: Clock Studio, Now Playing, System Pulse, and
Pinterest Slideshow. - Dedicated portrait and landscape layouts, including reversed mounting
directions for cable placement. - Live desktop preview with explicit Apply and Save before device updates.
- Automatic device discovery and reconnect restoration.
- Self-contained Windows 11 x64 installer with no administrator or separate
.NET requirement. - 157 automated tests plus a successful install/launch/uninstall smoke test.
Known Alpha limitations:
- The installer is not code-signed, so Windows SmartScreen may warn that the
publisher is unknown. - Only the hardware identity listed above has been physically validated.
- This is closed-source freeware, not an open-source release.
Feedback, compatibility reports, screenshots, and constructive criticism are
very welcome through GitHub Issues.
A first build, shaped by feedback
This is the very first public build. If people enjoy it and want development to continue, I can refine it, improve it far beyond this Alpha, support more compatible hardware, and add many more designs. I would especially love to work with this community on additional themes, with each creator's permission and clear credit. Please tell me what works, what does not, and what you would want next.
