Youtube login problem

as soon as logged into youtube (correct acc and pw). it turn to a error page, and made no login to the app:

hi, due to any weird issue the youtube site tried to open the youtube music app.
Can you clear cache and try again?
also maybe you can send a video, but make sure to blur your credentials (email, password, etc.)

It's related and a possible duplicate, because the login process needs some refactor.

Can you try updating your system webview? In Playstore App is called (Android System WebView)

Also try clearin cache of Android System WebView in settings, maybe you have to enable "show more".

Did you by chance set another special browser as default, can you try another one?

If all that does not work, what happens when you install youtube music? does the intent work then?

updated Android System WebView and reset caches

disable firefox to open new links

tried youtube music and cannot be play (this is normal in Macau)

tried to login again and appears to have same login problem

I have the same problem. When trying to add account, it displays the front page of mobile Youtube Music, and a toast says "Login failed".

Android System Webview can't be updated, is in latest version. Cleared storage and tried again.
Cleared storage in Simpmusic and tried again.
Didn't set any other browser as default, never.
Youtube music app opens and plays music (with ads).
My youtube music account is different that the default Google account of the device (if that matters).

Tell me what else I can troubleshoot.

I had multiple channels to choose from. Once I picked one and checked the box to keep that as the only channel, the SECOND time I went to go and log in, after I hit the back button and tried again, it worked. Instead of bouncing into YouTube music in the webview, it completed the login and went back to SimpMusic. I'm guessing there's probably some additional redirects or something happening when you have to choose a channel, maybe someone can test this to find out if it's true.

I had the exact same issue with login - I have multiple channels too and the app never recognised my login. I followed your instructions and it worked! Thank you
