Tradecraft 0.4.6

  • Fix task checkboxes in numbered lists appearing as plain Markdown in the daily timeline.
  • Toggle tasks directly from the timeline with one click, with checkbox hover feedback and a pointer cursor.
  • Align task checkboxes vertically with their text.
  • Reveal editable [ ] and [x] markers when the caret reaches a checkbox, while preserving list styling and indentation.
  • Edit list numbers and punctuation with normal clicks and arrow-key movement, without hidden caret positions or alignment jumps.
  • Continue numbered task lists with a new unchecked task when pressing Enter.
  • Protect task changes against conflicting note edits and refresh the timeline after conflicts or save failures.

@github-actions github-actions released this 24 Aug 02:39

Tradecraft 0.4.5

  • Removes direct vault enumeration from timeline link, heading, block, and tag suggestions.
  • Builds completion candidates from Obsidian's metadata link index and resolves individual files only when needed.
  • Keeps the timeline's full link-editing workflow while limiting Tradecraft's file-path access to notes represented in Obsidian's metadata graph.

@github-actions github-actions released this 24 Aug 02:30

Tradecraft 0.4.4

This release focuses on Obsidian community-review compatibility and keeps the existing Tradecraft experience intact.

  • Removes unsupported and performance-sensitive CSS patterns, including :has(), !important, and partially supported text-decoration sub-properties.
  • Preserves timeline focus and today indicators with broadly supported theme-aware styling.
  • Adds searchable settings definitions for Obsidian 1.13 and newer while retaining compatibility with the declared minimum app version.
  • Adds a typed boundary around Obsidian's Moment runtime to prevent unsafe values from propagating through Daily Note date handling.
  • Keeps the production manifest, package metadata, and compatibility map aligned at version 0.4.4.

@github-actions github-actions released this 24 Aug 02:12

Tradecraft 0.4.3

Tradecraft 0.4.3 moves the production repository to mboyle/obsidian-tradecraft so the Community Plugins portal can distinguish it from the archived pre-release entry.

Improvements

  • Publish the permanent tradecraft plugin identity from the renamed production repository.
  • Refresh release provenance and repository links under the production repository URL.
  • Preserve the complete Tradecraft feature set and Obsidian 1.7.2 compatibility.

Tradecraft 0.4.2

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 24 Aug 00:35

Tradecraft 0.4.2

Tradecraft 0.4.2 establishes tradecraft as the plugin's permanent public ID before its first Community Plugins submission.

Improvements

  • Align the manifest ID, Community Plugins submission metadata, and manual installation directory with the Tradecraft name.
  • Preserve the existing feature set and Obsidian 1.7.2 compatibility.

Existing manual installations should move the plugin folder from .obsidian/plugins/dossier/ to .obsidian/plugins/tradecraft/ and replace dossier with tradecraft in .obsidian/community-plugins.json.

@github-actions github-actions released this 24 Aug 00:22

Tradecraft 0.4.1

Tradecraft 0.4.1 is a community-review compatibility and type-safety update.

Improvements

  • Replace unsafe frontmatter and settings-data access with runtime-narrowed values.
  • Use Obsidian's window-aware DOM helpers throughout linked references, the Daily Timeline, and the mobile week navigator.
  • Preserve caret placement on older iOS versions without directly calling a deprecated browser API.
  • Make asynchronous backlink refresh callbacks explicit and remove redundant type assertions.
  • Enforce the reviewed TypeScript safety rules on all source code in continuous integration.

Tradecraft runs locally inside Obsidian, makes no network requests, and supports Obsidian 1.7.2 and later.

@github-actions github-actions released this 23 Aug 23:11

Tradecraft 0.3.2

This compatibility release resolves an Obsidian Community Plugins validator false positive.

Changes

  • Separated the settings host's Tradecraft-specific type from Obsidian's base Plugin type.
  • Prevented Tradecraft's own settings field from being mistaken for the newer Plugin.settings API.
  • Re-enabled obsidianmd/no-unsupported-api in local verification so declared-version compatibility is checked before every release.

Tradecraft continues to support Obsidian 1.7.2 and later.

@github-actions github-actions released this 23 Aug 23:02

Tradecraft 0.3.1

  • Replaced direct style assignments in the week navigator with Obsidian's CSS helpers.
  • Limited timeline link suggestions to Markdown files while retaining vault-wide note completion.
  • Added the official Obsidian plugin lint rules to local verification.
  • Added cryptographic provenance attestations for every GitHub release asset.

Privacy
