BookmarkFlow Bar is now open source

Version 0.1.37 establishes a complete Apache-2.0 contribution and release model for BookmarkFlow Bar while preserving a separate policy for the official product identity and Maprins Games trademarks.

Highlights

  • Licensed the source code under Apache License 2.0.
  • Added public governance, roadmap, support, trademark, NOTICE, and DCO 1.1 policies.
  • Added fail-closed CI checks for license integrity and DCO sign-offs across every pull-request commit.
  • Rebuilt store and documentation artwork from synthetic, project-owned inputs.
  • Documented reproducible provenance, dimensions, and SHA-256 digests for all tracked binary assets.
  • Hardened release packaging so the tag, manifest version, legal files, ZIP, and checksum stay aligned.

Privacy and compatibility

This release does not change the extension's runtime permissions, local-storage boundaries, search behavior, or bookmark handling. Chrome-native English and Turkish localization remains available.

Install

The attached ZIP is the verified unpacked-extension package. Download both files and compare the ZIP's SHA-256 digest with the accompanying checksum before loading it through Chrome's developer mode.

BookmarkFlow Bar v0.1.36

This release aligns BookmarkFlow's new-tab search behavior and public disclosures with Chrome Web Store policy.

Highlights

  • Web searches now use Chrome's Search API and respect the default provider already selected by the user.
  • Search labels are provider-neutral in English and Turkish.
  • The public privacy policy now documents Limited Use compliance, local page-title/URL prefilling, and default-provider search behavior.
  • Chrome Web Store listing, permission justifications, reviewer notes, and QA materials now match the shipped package.
  • Automated validation rejects hard-coded search-provider URLs and checks the Search API contract in real Chrome.

Privacy

BookmarkFlow remains local-first. It does not receive or store search queries, bookmark data, or the page title and URL used to prefill the user-opened add-bookmark form.

Read the public privacy policy.

Package verification

  • bookmarkflow-bar-0.1.36.zip
  • SHA-256: d53fed4685fbf4b19c879a9180c08623d08a5f751ab0f3e5fdb649c809da9a33

The ZIP was generated from the immutable v0.1.36 tag and contains 37 public extension files.
