2026.8.3.1 is released, mirrored to both xlings-res ends (four platforms, GET-verified byte-for-byte) and indexed (openxlings/xim-pkgindex#479 merged, artifact published). A clean-room
xlings install mcpp@2026.8.3.1was verified end to end, including the #336 repro.Bootstrap pin moves last, per the two-group rule: it names a version that already exists in the index, so it can only be bumped after the release is indexed — bumping it alongside the version PR would send every CI job to install a version that does not exist yet.
