First release of census-mcp — U.S. Census (ACS) data by ZIP, inside your agent. 8 read-only tools over public Census data, served from a local store.

Install

  • PyPI: uvx mcpwright-census (set CENSUS_API_KEY) — see the README
  • MCP Registry: io.github.mcpwright/census-mcp
  • Claude Desktop (one-click): download mcpwright-census-0.1.0.mcpb below → Settings → Extensions → Install from file… → enter your free Census API key

The .mcpb is a uv-type bundle: the host installs the correct-platform dependencies at install time (no vendored libs). The uv runtime is experimental — some Claude Desktop builds may need a system Python present (mcpb#84).
