Alpha release — expect breaking changes

Hooray. This is the first public alpha of the Validibot CLI.

Validibot CLI is usable for early testing, but commands, output, and exit codes may change.

What’s included

  • Auth: validibot login (or VALIDIBOT_TOKEN for CI) ... also validibot logout and validibot whoami
  • Workflows: validibot workflows list/show
  • Start a validation workflow: validibot validate (wait/no-wait, JSON output, CI-friendly exit codes)
  • List current and past runs: validibot runs show

Quick start

  1. Install:
    • pip install validibot-cli (or uv tool install validibot-cli)
    • From source: pip install -e .
  2. Login: validibot login (or set VALIDIBOT_TOKEN)
  3. Verify: validibot whoami or validibot workflows list
  4. Run: validibot validate model.idf -w <workflow-id-or-slug>

Known limitations

  • Only a subset of the Validibot API is implemented (workflows + validation runs)
  • Output format/command names may change; limited platform testing
