MCStat 1.2.0
MCStat 1.2.0 turns the plugin from a heartbeat sender into a full analytics source: your MCStat dashboard now shows every player, their sessions and what they do, and how the server performs.
Requires an updated MCStat site (live now). 1.1.x keeps working; upgrade to get the new statistics.
New
- Gameplay statistics: blocks broken and placed (per block type), mob and player kills (per mob), deaths (per cause), distance travelled, items crafted, fish caught, items enchanted, experience gained, advancements, and chat/command activity — counted, never read.
- AFK time inside every session (threshold set in the dashboard).
- Performance: TPS, tick time (MSPT on Paper), CPU, memory, loaded chunks and entities.
- Audience data: Minecraft version (ViaVersion-aware), client brand, client language, Java or Bedrock (Floodgate), country and the join address (domain) players connected through.
- Country lookup stays on your server: the plugin downloads the free DB-IP Lite country database (refreshed monthly) and resolves countries locally; player IP addresses are never sent.
- Offline-mode (cracked) and Bedrock players are tracked per server like everyone else.
- Dashboard control: choose modules, report interval (30–300 s) and the AFK threshold per server in the MCStat dashboard; the plugin applies changes within a minute, no restart.
- Local switches (
metrics.*) can keep any module off on your server whatever the dashboard says, including newclient-info,countryandjoin-address. - 35 languages: console in
language:, players always in their own client language (/vote, notices).
Reliability
- Events go out as compressed, signed batches every heartbeat; all network work is off the main thread.
- An on-disk spool (
plugins/McStat/spool, capped at 20 MB) keeps unsent data through outages and restarts; a retried batch is applied exactly once. - Folia supported natively; Paper's virtual host used for the join address (no legacy login-event warning).
Upgrade
Stop the server, replace the jar, start it again. Your config.yml keeps working; new keys use their defaults. Then open Dashboard → your server → Plugin to choose what is collected.
