A column Bases spells differently from the class is editable again. Reported on a production
vault: thestatuscolumn of afileclass-tablewould not take an edit, while the column beside
it did, and the class declared the field exactly as expected. Measured live: the view is handed
note.Status, capitalised, because Bases names a column from Obsidian's property registry —
which keys entries in lowercase but keeps the display name of the first spelling the vault used.
That vault has 482 notes writingStatus:and 927 writingstatus:, so the class'sstatus
field and the column no longer had the same name, the field lookup found nothing, and the cell was
silently read-only.A column now matches its field by name, and failing that by name ignoring case. Exact first, so a
class that really does declare two fields differing only in case keeps its own. -
A hovered note shows its field buttons, not just the class wrench. Hovering a link — in a
fileclass-tablecell, or anywhere else — opened a preview whose Properties rows carried nothing
but thefileClasswrench, which is the one control that needs no file. A preview renders in
reading mode, and every other way of finding which note a Properties panel belongs to goes
through its editor; with no editor, the file came back null and each row was skipped. The file is
now stamped on the popover as it appears, from the hover the workspace announced.Measured: hovering two links one after the other decorates each preview with its own note's
fields, and a popover appearing without a recent hover stays undecorated rather than borrowing the
last one's.
