MDFriday Publish 26.9.5

Publishing your first site is now easier than ever. Try it without an account, keep as many sites as you like on Free, and give folder sites your own look.

✨ Highlights

Publish right away, no sign-up needed

Open a note or folder, click Publish, and your site goes live. There's no account, license key, or verification step on your first try. MDFriday creates a guest session for you in the background.

Guest sites are for trying things out: 1 site with up to 5 MB, cleared at the next 00:00 UTC. Want to keep it? Sign up for Free and your site stays at the same URL.

Unlimited sites on the Free plan

Free accounts can now publish as many sites as you want, with 50 MB of storage that never expires. Put one folder up as a digital garden, share a single note as a page, and start another project whenever you like.

Two new folder themes: Jasper and Flint

Publishing a folder now gives you two more looks to choose from:

  • Jasper
  • Flint

Open a theme's live demo in the panel to compare before you publish.

Make your site your own: title, logo, and favicon

Under Advanced, you can now set:

  • Site title
  • Logo, picked from an image in your vault
  • Favicon, the small icon shown in the browser tab

The theme's own navigation links are no longer added to new sites automatically, so your site only shows the content you published.

⚠️ Requirements

  • Now requires Obsidian 1.13.0 or later (desktop only).

🧪 Try it safely

Want to experiment without touching your own notes? Download our demo vault and follow the "publish a single note" and "publish a folder" guides inside it.
