Added

  • The editor's color scheme menu (new in this release's editor) has VS Code theme as its System choice, with the VS Code icon: the preview follows the VS Code theme, as before, and Light or Dark can still be picked to override it.
  • Page width menu in the editor toolbar (Narrow, Default, Wide, Full Width), saved as the new mdzip.previewWidth setting: a pick applies to every open editor and to files opened later, and changing the setting in Settings updates open editors.
  • The preview's right-click menu has Copy and Copy All submenus by format (Plain Text, Formatted Text, HTML, and Markdown for the whole document) and Select All. Ctrl+A selects the rendered document; Ctrl+A, Ctrl+C copies all of it as formatted text with images embedded.

Fixed

  • Remote images now show in the MDZip editor and diff view. Images from https:// URLs (for example ![logo](https://example.com/logo.png)) were blocked by the webview's Content-Security-Policy, so they never appeared. They now load, as in VS Code's built-in Markdown preview; plain http:// images stay blocked. A new setting, mdzip.remoteImages (on by default), turns them off for anyone who doesn't want documents contacting remote servers.

Changed

  • Built on @mdzip/editor 2.2.0 and Mermaid 12: ER diagrams and flowcharts use the ELK layout (right-angle lines), and switching light/dark keeps the preview in place. Also includes the editor's footnotes, task list checkboxes and copy fixes (see the editor's 2.1.0 and 2.2.0 changelogs).
  • Built on @mdzip/core-js 2.0.1 (MDZip spec 1.2.0). Saved .mdz files always contain a manifest.json with spec.version, title, entryPoint and mode, and keep unknown manifest fields and untouched files byte-for-byte. Paths inside an archive are case-sensitive: ![](Images/Logo.png) no longer shows images/logo.png. Renaming a file to a different case of its own name now works.
  • MCP server: paths are matched case-sensitively, as in the spec.
