This project depends heavily on the PatchStorage API, developed by Blokas: https://patchstorage.com/docs/

How to Install

If you've used a beta version of the application, you'll have to delete the saved preferences file from the local backend. See here for details on each platform:

  • On Windows, delete C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\.ZoiaLibraryApp\pref.json (if it exists)
  • On Mac, delete /Users/user/.Library/Application Support/.ZoiaLibraryApp/pref.json (if it exists)
  • On Linux, delete /home/.local/share/.ZoiaLibraryApp/pref.json (if it exists.. I'd be very surprised if it existed since this is the first Linux build)

Application can be installed in one of two ways:

  • (For general users) Use the pre-bundled build, available on Windows, Mac, and Linux (Ubuntu) here: https://github.com/meanmedianmoge/zoia_lib/releases/tag/v1.0. Note that these releases are quite large in size (roughly 100MB compressed), since they require an entire Python runtime to work properly. The actual source code is merely 6MB.

  • (For developers/contributors) Build from source, requires Python 3.7+

# Download source code from Github (either directly from the site or cloning the repo)
git clone https://github.com/meanmedianmoge/zoia_lib.git
# Make sure you're in the right directory
cd Downloads/zoia_lib
# Install Python 3.7+, make sure you have pip
pip help
# Install the dependencies that allow the app to run
pip install -r requirements.txt
# Load the application
python -m zoia_lib.backend.startup
