v0.2.0

One package for Gitea 1.27.x and 28.x. Gitea dropped the "1." prefix with 28.0.0. v0.1.x does not work on 28: the repository home and file pages fail to render. v0.2.0 picks the right template variant from the running Gitea version, so you can install it before upgrading Gitea from 1.27 to 28 and keep it afterwards. Gitea 28's new UI (toasts, site and impersonation banners, the quick repo switcher, the Actions job queue, artifact preview, the diff file filter, audit log, deploy tokens) is styled with Primer like the rest. The footer shows the Gitea version again ([other] SHOW_FOOTER_VERSION still controls it). Details are in #3.

Upgrading from v0.1.x: extract over the old install and run gitea manager reload-templates. No restart is needed (no icon changes). The package is now named gitea-theme-github-0.2.0-gitea1.27-28. One template is new, templates/base/head_impersonate_banner.tmpl (Gitea 28.1.0's own file; on 1.27 it only has to exist). These shipped templates changed: base/head_navbar.tmpl, custom/gh_head_navbar.tmpl, repo/blame.tmpl, repo/commits_list.tmpl, repo/view_file.tmpl, repo/view_list.tmpl, repo/wiki/view.tmpl. If you override one of them, merge the $gitea1 branches and the github-* blocks by hand. See Upgrading in the README.
