Runwell 1.0.1
First public release of Runwell, now free and open source under MIT.
Runwell has been the author's own battery monitor throughout development, and this build shipped after ten continuous days of daily use.
What's in this build
Storage fixes. Databases created before incremental vacuum was enabled never reclaimed a single page, so the file only ever grew. Worse, the 200 MB size ceiling would delete history a day at a time while the file size never moved — replaying it against a real 150 MB database removed 88% of recorded history and freed nothing. Such databases are now converted on first launch (146 MB → 130 MB on the author's machine), and the ceiling stops instead of deleting what it cannot reclaim.
Uninstall. Remove an application and the support files it leaves behind. Everything goes to the Trash, never straight to deletion, and support files are matched by exact bundle identifier only — it would rather miss a leftover than remove a file it cannot prove belongs to the app.
Interface. Rounded typography, a full-height sidebar, and a rebuilt first-run introduction.
Install
Open the DMG and drag Runwell to Applications. Requires macOS 15 or later. Universal — Apple silicon and Intel.
The app and disk image are both notarized, so Gatekeeper will open it without complaint.
