Our fork of sxsc introduces support for generating stubs directly from YAML config files.
This allows safe removal of following WinSxS components:
Microsoft-Windows-Unified-Telemetry-Client- core of DiagTrackMicrosoft-Windows-SQMApi- CEIP
Removing the first component with AME's !systemPackage, NTLite, or other sxsc methods causes Windows to fail during boot. Removing Microsoft-Windows-SQMApi also causes compatibility issues with SpeechUXWiz.exe and recovery.dll.
Our new method replaces the original files with stubs generated by sxsc, avoiding these compatibility issues entirely. Therefore, this release introduces a new package called Revision-ReviOS-Telemetry-Removal.
This brings us one step closer to fully eliminating Windows telemetry.
