Brimlet 0.1.0

First public release.

• A panel around the MacBook notch, or a small capsule at the top of displays without one, that opens on hover or click and shows what is going on while it is small.
• Music from the Spotify app: track, artist, album art, seek bar, playback controls, a peek with controls when the track changes, and lyrics from LRCLIB.
• Timer with 5, 15, 25 and 45 minutes, pause and an optional sound.
• Calendar, off by default: today, tomorrow or seven days, Join buttons for Meet, Zoom, Teams and Webex, and reminders before meetings.
• Tasks with categories, due dates and reminders.
• Quotes saved from the Services menu, shown now and then on a card of their own.
• Notifications from other apps the user allows, over a local socket that checks both apps' signatures.
• Update check: once a day Brimlet asks GitHub for the latest version number, and Download and Install verifies the disk image before opening it. Releases are published as Brimlet.dmg with its checksum in Brimlet.dmg.sha256.
• English and Turkish.

Install

Download Brimlet.dmg, open it and drag Brimlet to Applications. Brimlet is not notarized, so the first launch needs System Settings › Privacy & Security › Open Anyway. The README has the steps.
