OneSMTP 0.1.0 Release Notes
Highlights
Initial release foundation for OneSMTP as a WordPress transactional email orchestration plugin.
Provider configuration for PHP mail, Gmail, SendGrid, Postmark, Brevo, and SMTP-style delivery adapters.
Capture/send pipeline for WordPress email with provider selection, failover, and rotation.
Action Scheduler-powered retry workflow with visible scheduler failure handling.
Email logs, manual resend with provider override, and provider-specific test email support.
Safer provider credential handling through encrypted storage and redacted admin responses where implemented.
Reliability Changes
Delivery starts with the selected provider strategy and can switch providers after repeated failures.
Retry scheduling is bounded to the 0.1.0 attempt limit documented in admin docs.
Missing Action Scheduler support fails closed by recording a scheduler-unavailable event rather than creating a hidden retry assumption.
Provider state and active provider pool changes clear cached provider data.
Operational Changes
Activation creates the provider, message, attempt, and event tables used by the delivery and log workflows.
Logs default to 30 days of retention and can be extended through the documented bounded filter.
The provider test email route returns safe status metadata without exposing stored credentials.
Release packaging workflow support is present in .github/workflows/release.yml.
Public Metadata Notes
WordPress.org readme.txt is scoped to implemented 0.1.0 behavior only.
Public copy intentionally avoids competitor comparisons and competitor names.
No unshipped paid or Pro functionality is described.
Upgrade Notes
This is the initial release; there is no data migration from an earlier public version.
After activation, configure at least one provider and send a provider test email.
For failover or rotation coverage, configure at least two active providers.
Confirm Email Logs show provider, status, attempt number, and retry state as expected.
Confirm Action Scheduler is available in the target site before approving the release package.
