@mahendra-mahajan-mendix , is this an image to be added to the document? Could you add it to the corresponding folder?

Follow the instructions below to define an **Import Mapping** with mapping parameters.

1. In your **Import Mapping**, drag an entity from the **Connector** tab and drop into the target object placeholder. Click **Cancel** on the **Map entity...** dialog as you will fill in the details later.
2. Similarly, drag another entity from the **Connector** tab which you intend to pass as a parameter and drop into the parameter placeholder.

@mahendra-mahajan-mendix , is it a tab or is it the Connector pane on the right?

Thanks! @mahendra-mahajan-mendix , what do you mean by the object and parameter placeholders?

Hello @MariaShaposhnikova - when Maker is creating an import mapping from either XML/JSON/xls/csv structure, then there are 2 placeholders. One on the top left is where you can inject parameters and the other on left side is where you can choose the "target" entity which will be mapped to this source structure from right hand side. below image is for reference...

@mahendra-mahajan-mendix , this happens if you did not fork our repo. I will add it to the PR, but for the future if you plan to send us PRs, it might be beneficial to fork the repo.

  • I do have the repo cloned. And i was told by docs team (in the past) that the easiest and faster way to edit documents is by going to the desired document on docs.mendix.com and then clicking "edit" option as shown below and create a PR for my changes. Because the docs repo is cloned at my end, it is created as a *:patch branch. But i i will still check again how can i upload images in future. Thanks for your help @MariaShaposhnikova

@mahendra-mahajan-mendix , yes, in this case you will be able to make quick text changes, but not more complicated ones like adding images. This is the process for a better collaboration experience that might be helpful for the future:

  1. Fork the development branch of the mendix/docs repository.
  2. Create a new branch from the forked development branch (give it a different name than development).
  3. Make your changes in the new branch.
  4. Create a pull request with the Mendix development branch as the base.

@mahendra-mahajan-mendix , is the screenshot you provided done from macOS? Could you send one from Windows for consistency? (I have added the one you provided for now, so this is not urgent, but would be good to have).

@quinntracy , not sure why images had "class=no border", as they need borders. I deleted it from all images that did not have borders (all except one) and cropped some to look neat.
