Gui Update 1.2
Pre-release
Created by Luka, built with Nova (OpenAI Codex).
Gui Update 1.2 fixes the solid background hiding taskbar icons and gives Pet Shop and the group editor independent, responsive windows. Setup stays open while the taskbar is active.
App groups now have a dark editor, larger app icons, selection counts, and custom Folder, Star, Heart, or Grid icons. Choose a preset colour or any custom colour, with a live preview. Custom icons persist across restarts and app switches; the app-based icon remains available.
The reported UI problems were confirmed resolved through hands-on testing on the affected PC. Automated regression checks passed for background ordering, dialog Save/Cancel/Close/Escape behavior, group membership, icon persistence, and legacy group compatibility. Windows x64 beta; broader compatibility is not guaranteed.
To update: use Restore / exit in the old version first, extract this ZIP, then run TaskbarCompass.exe and click Continue. Saved coins, pets, groups, and preferences remain in your Windows user profile. Source and regression tests are included.
