Releases: mengyuefeitian/iLaunch

v1.12.0

Choose a tag to compare

@mengyuefeitian mengyuefeitian released this 02 Oct 15:28

New

  • Pressing Return in search now launches the first result.

Fixes

  • Safari (and any app or folder reached through a symbolic link) now appears in the launcher and in search.
  • Settings background images use an adaptive grid: thumbnails keep their proportions inside their own bordered cells, and every thumbnail has its own delete button. The default Settings window is slightly larger.

新增与修复

  • 搜索时按回车键,直接打开第一个搜索结果。
  • 修复 Safari(及其他通过符号链接指向的应用或文件夹)在启动台和搜索中不显示的问题。
  • 设置中的背景图改为自适应网格:缩略图保持比例、各有边框,每张图都有自己的删除按钮;默认设置窗口略微加大。

v1.11.0

Choose a tag to compare

@mengyuefeitian mengyuefeitian released this 02 Oct 04:16

New

  • Dissolve folder: right-click a folder (or the open folder panel) and choose "Dissolve folder". Its apps return to the grid in order at the folder's position, spilling onto following pages when the page is full. The built-in Apple folder cannot be dissolved.
  • Remember last page (Settings > Interface > Layout, on by default): reopening the launcher returns to the page you left from. A full quit and relaunch still starts on the first page.

Fixes

  • The folder popup no longer shows a useless scrollbar when everything fits; when it scrolls, the scrollbar stays inside the rounded panel.

v1.9.17

Choose a tag to compare

@mengyuefeitian mengyuefeitian released this 29 Sep 02:28

Important: one-time re-grant of App Management

This is the first release signed with a stable certificate ("iLaunch Local Signing") instead of ad-hoc. macOS therefore treats it as a new app once, so the "App Management" permission has to be granted one last time. From now on updates keep the grant.
Open System Settings > Privacy & Security > App Management, remove any old iLaunch entry with "−", click "+", choose /Applications/iLaunch.app and turn it on.

Fixes

  • The App Management grant no longer resets on every update: the app is now signed with a stable certificate, so the code requirement no longer changes with each build.
  • Trashing apps that need administrator rights (root-owned, about a third of /Applications) failed silently. On a permission error iLaunch now asks Finder to move the app to the Trash, which shows the usual admin password prompt (macOS may ask once to allow iLaunch to control Finder).
  • The "App Management" status is now read from the system's permission data instead of a file-open probe that always succeeded, so a missing permission is no longer reported as granted and the launch reminder is no longer skipped by mistake.
  • Choosing "Open System Settings" in the launch reminder no longer covers System Settings with the full-screen launcher.
  • Failed trash attempts now log the path, error details and permission status to the diagnostics log.

New

  • Settings > App Management has a new "Permissions" section at the top showing whether App Management is granted, with a button that opens the right System Settings pane. It refreshes automatically when you return to the app.

v1.9.13

Choose a tag to compare

@mengyuefeitian mengyuefeitian released this 27 Sep 06:47

Fixes

  • The App Management permission-guide alert was still rendering behind an already-open Terminal window and Finder window in 1.9.12, despite NSApp.activate() + .floating level. Those are ordinary windows (level 0), so .floating wasn't a strong enough margin. Raised the alert's window level to match what the launcher overlay itself uses to reliably beat the Dock/menu bar, plus the same collectionBehavior and an explicit orderFrontRegardless(). Verified live: the alert now renders above both windows.

v1.9.12

Choose a tag to compare

@mengyuefeitian mengyuefeitian released this 27 Sep 06:42

Fixes

  • The App Management permission-guide alert (added in 1.9.9) could render behind the full-screen launcher overlay and never become visible/clickable. Fixed two compounding causes: the alert was shown after the overlay instead of before it (the overlay sits above the Dock's window level), and the app wasn't explicitly activated before presenting a modal alert. Verified the alert now appears in front and is clickable.

v1.9.11

Choose a tag to compare

@mengyuefeitian mengyuefeitian released this 27 Sep 06:34

Fixes

  • Folder Liquid Glass was too dark after the last tuning pass (black tint overcorrected the "too transparent" complaint). Switched to a light white frost tint instead — folder tiles and the opened-folder panel now show visible refraction of what's behind them while staying legible, closer to how frosted glass should look.

v1.9.10

Choose a tag to compare

@mengyuefeitian mengyuefeitian released this 27 Sep 06:29

Fixes

  • Liquid Glass on folder tiles/panels was tuned twice this release: .regular read as a flat gray plate on large surfaces, and plain .clear (the first fix) was too transparent compared to the system's own translucent surfaces (e.g. the menu bar dropdown). Settled on .clear with a subtle dark tint that keeps the refraction while staying legible.

Features

  • After a fresh install or an auto-update, the app now shows a one-time alert guiding you to System Settings > Privacy & Security > App Management, with a button that jumps straight there. The app is ad-hoc signed (no paid Developer ID certificate), so macOS resets this permission on every install/update — there's no code fix for that, only easier manual re-granting.

v1.9.9

Choose a tag to compare

@mengyuefeitian mengyuefeitian released this 27 Sep 06:19

Fixes

  • Wired real macOS 26+ Liquid Glass into the search field, folder tiles, enlarged folder chrome, and the opened-folder panel — these previously used flat white-opacity fills even though the liquidGlass() helper already existed in the codebase.
  • Added hover-reactive Liquid Glass feedback to the folder-create drop target while dragging an app onto another.
  • Folder-create merge (two apps combining into a folder) now animates in/out instead of cutting instantly.
  • Removed a per-pixel debug-log write from the in-folder drag handler that was causing dragging to feel laggy/low-framerate.
  • Folder surfaces initially used Apple's denser .regular glass style, which read as a flat gray plate on large panels; switched to the lighter .clear style.

v1.9.8

Choose a tag to compare

@mengyuefeitian mengyuefeitian released this 26 Sep 15:21

Fixed

  • The full-screen grid could overflow underneath the visible Dock when raising the row/column count in Settings — the available layout height now reserves the Dock's screen space in Dock-visible mode.
  • Background image thumbnails in Settings were stretched/squished — they now crop to fill their cell using the photo's own aspect ratio instead of being forced into a square first.

v1.9.6

Choose a tag to compare

@mengyuefeitian mengyuefeitian released this 23 Sep 06:35

Fixed

  • Settings: a frosted band under the title bar permanently covered the top of each settings page (e.g. the first section header), and scrolled content was drawn over the title bar. The settings content now sits correctly under the title bar, and scrolled content slides under it with the standard blur.
