Highlights

  • Animated startup: TERMCOURSE randomly slides into view, types out after three cursor blinks, or resolves from shuffled letters, then settles into the masthead using your theme.
  • Responsive loading: Forum data loads while the animation plays. Press any key, paste, or left-click to skip; q or Ctrl+C quits even during a slow initial request. Small terminals open directly.
  • Full link addresses: Named Markdown links, reference links, table links, and bare URLs display their complete destinations for every domain, with no domain allow list. Addresses remain visible when clickable links are disabled.
  • Mac link opening: Left-click a web link on a local Mac to open it in the default browser without selecting its post. SSH sessions and other platforms retain the terminal's normal hyperlink gesture.
  • Reliable wrapped links: Hyperlink targets survive wrapping, scrolling, Unicode labels, and theme styling without leaking into padding or adjacent rows. Code stays literal, and browser-opening failures appear in the existing error UI.

Downloads and compatibility

Prebuilt archives are available for Linux, macOS, and Windows on AMD64 and ARM64, with SHA-256 checksums in checksums.txt. No Go runtime is required for prebuilt binaries.

macOS builds require macOS 13 (Ventura) or newer. Building from source requires Go 1.27.2 or newer.
